Continent 8 Technologies Enhances Cloud Connect with Cloudflare Partnership
Continent 8 Technologies has announced an enhancement to its Cloud Connect solution through a strategic partnership with Cloudflare.
The collaboration introduces a direct, private, and secure connection between Continent 8’s infrastructure and Cloudflare’s cloud services, offering enhanced security and efficiency for customers.
Benefits of the Enhanced Cloud Connect
The enhanced Cloud Connect now allows operators and suppliers to leverage a secure connection that bypasses the public internet, utilizing Continent 8’s private MPLS global backbone.
This setup significantly minimizes the public attack surface while ensuring optimal reachability with the shortest possible route (“hop”) between the user’s infrastructure and cloud services.
A History of Secure and Resilient Connectivity
Originally launched over six years ago, Continent 8’s Cloud Connect has been a cornerstone of its offering, providing fast, secure, and resilient access not only to Cloudflare but also to other major cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft Azure.
Justin Cosnett, Chief Product Officer at Continent 8, emphasized the value of the partnership with Cloudflare, noting, “Growing our product suite by partnering with Cloudflare enables both of us to offer customers the most secure, fast, and efficient connectivity. It is partnerships such as this that have allowed Continent 8 to become the go-to infrastructure and cloud provider for operators and suppliers in the global online gambling industry.”
Edward O’Connor, Chief Technology Officer at Continent 8, highlighted the technical achievements of the partnership, stating, “Working together, Cloudflare and Continent 8 network architecture teams were able to utilize both our large global networks to identify key points of presence (POPs) where we can interface and exchange private routes for use by our customers, expanding our Cloud Connect capability.”
