Crypto.com’s new Washington, D.C. office, opened May 7, 2025, aims to steer U.S. cryptocurrency regulations from just blocks away from the White House.

A Strategic Power Move

Crypto.com, a cryptocurrency trading platform, planted a flag in Washington, D.C., opening a new office steps from the White House to bolster its government relations.

The Singapore-based exchange, already sporting a North American hub in Tyler, Texas, picked the capital to cozy up to lawmakers and regulators.

“The U.S. is the most exciting frontier for crypto,” a Crypto.com spokesperson said. The office, staffed with existing employees and eyeing future hires, will focus on public and regulatory outreach, aiming to shape balanced crypto laws.

Bridging Crypto and Capitol Hill

The D.C. office is a calculated play to engage the SEC, Treasury Department, and Congress directly. Crypto.com wants clear rules that protect users without strangling innovation.

The firm’s goals include pushing transparent legislation, educating policymakers on blockchain’s potential, and fostering stable regulations to draw investment.

“Clear, clean regulation is essential,” said South African Reserve Bank governor Lesetja Kganyago at Davos 2025, echoing the need for clarity Crypto.com champions.
