Pennsylvania Sportsbooks Report Record Revenue Growth in July 2024
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s July report shows that mobile sportsbooks generated $49.5 million in gross sports betting revenue, a 33.8% increase compared to the same month last year.

Handle Grows, But Revenue Outpaces Growth
While the total handle for July reached $392.1 million, up 22.5% year-over-year, it marked a 10.7% decline compared to June.
However, thanks to the stronger win rate, revenue rose 22.6% month-over-month. Promotional spending by mobile sportsbooks surged 94% year-over-year, totaling $14.2 million.
The state’s high 34% tax rate on sports betting gross revenue generated $13.1 million in tax revenue for the month.
For 2024, Pennsylvania’s sports betting operators have taken over $4 billion in total wagers and reported $410 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR), cementing the state as one of the top sports betting markets in the U.S.
FanDuel, DraftKings, and BetMGM Lead the Market
FanDuel maintained its dominance in Pennsylvania, posting $23.4 million in GGR from $165.5 million in the handle. The Flutter-owned sportsbook led all operators in promotional spending, investing $5.7 million in customer incentives.
DraftKings followed as the second-largest operator, reporting $12.7 million in GGR from $109.5 million in wagers.
BetMGM came in third with $3.1 million in GGR from $28.2 million in handle.
Bet365 recorded a 20.3% win rate in its first 10 days of operation, earning $1.2 million in gross revenue from nearly $6 million in wagers.
Meanwhile, Fanatics Sportsbook had its best month since launching in Pennsylvania, generating $2.4 million in GGR from $17 million in handle.
