Two consent agreements, resulting from the diligent efforts of the Board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel (OEC), have culminated in fines totaling $27,500.

Fines Imposed on License Holders

Stakelogic, USA, an esteemed Interactive Gaming Manufacturer license holder, faced a $22,500 fine due to a failure in promptly notifying the Board of significant changes within its ownership structure. Additionally, TA Operating, LLC, operating under the name TravelCenters of America site #67 and holding a Video Gaming Terminal Establishment license, was fined $5,000.

The fine was imposed for lacking operational surveillance monitors within their gaming area, a critical oversight compounded by the absence of direct visual monitoring by store personnel.

Enhancing Child Safety Measures

The PGCB’s commitment to ensuring a secure and responsible gaming environment extends beyond regulatory compliance to safeguarding the welfare of minors. The Board has taken decisive action against five individuals for leaving minors unattended to partake in gaming activities, resulting in their placement on the Involuntary Exclusion List.

These incidents, ranging from leaving children in vehicles under various extreme weather conditions to engaging in gambling activities, underscore the Board’s zero-tolerance policy towards endangering minors.

“Don’t Gamble with Kids” Campaign

In response to these incidents, the PGCB has initiated the “Don’t Gamble with Kids” awareness campaign. This initiative aims to educate and remind adults of the severe consequences, both legal and personal, of leaving minors unattended in casino-associated venues. The campaign is a testament to the Board’s proactive approach in creating a safe and responsible gaming environment.
