Nebraska Lottery Introduces Lotto America
Nebraska Lottery has announced its inclusion in the multi-state Lotto America game, offering Nebraskans a fresh opportunity to win substantial prizes.
Starting May 19, lottery enthusiasts in Nebraska can purchase Lotto America tickets, priced at $1, which feature a starting jackpot of $2 million that increases with each draw until won.
Growing Demand and Support for Local Causes
Brian Rockey, Director of Nebraska Lottery, expressed enthusiasm about the introduction of Lotto America, noting its addition was a response to player demand. “Many players have asked us to offer Lotto America in the past, and the game fits in well with our existing draw games,” Rockey said.
Lotto America requires players to pick five white balls from 1 to 52 and one Star Ball from 1 to 10. Matching all six numbers secures the jackpot, with a $20,000 secondary prize for matching just the white balls. Smaller prizes range from $2 to $1,000. The game boasts a jackpot winning odds of 1 in 25,989,600 and overall odds of securing any prize at about 1 in 9.63.
Features and Schedule
An additional allure for players is the All-Star Bonus multiplier, which for an extra $1 per play, can multiply non-jackpot prizes by two to five times.
Lotto America draws take place three times a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 9:15 p.m. CT. Participants can find the winning numbers on the Nebraska Lottery website, through their mobile app, or via the Nebraska Lottery Player’s Hotline.
