Michigan Sports Betting Sees Record September with $59.2 Million in Revenue
In September, Michigan’s sports betting market hit $59.2 million in gross sports betting revenue—its second-highest total on record, just behind December 2022.

FanDuel Leads the Pack
FanDuel dominated the Michigan market in September, generating $24.4 million in gross gaming revenue (GGR) from $180.1 million in bets, boasting a 13.5% win rate.
The operator also invested heavily in promotions, spending over $10 million to attract bettors. DraftKings followed closely with $17.4 million in GGR from $155.9 million in wagers, while BetMGM saw its best month since March 2023, pulling in $9.3 million from $74.9 million in bets.
This is only the sixth time the state has surpassed $50 million in a single month. The numbers reflect a 29.8% year-over-year revenue increase and more than double the revenue from August.
Fanatics and Other Operators See Growth
Fanatics had its strongest performance yet in Michigan, with $2.8 million in GGR from $23.9 million in wagers. However, promotional spending left the company with only $213,200 in adjusted gross revenue (AGR).
Meanwhile, Caesars and ESPN Bet both handled more wagers than Fanatics—$26.3 million and $25.7 million, respectively—but earned less in revenue, with Caesars bringing in $1.8 million and ESPN Bet $1.7 million.
Overall, Michigan sportsbooks handled $523.8 million in wagers for the month, driven largely by the return of NFL and college football. The betting handle saw a 10.1% year-over-year increase, indicating the strong appetite for sports wagering in the state.
