Indiana Sports Betting Revenue Reaches $53 Million in September
Indiana sportsbooks had a big September 2024, with the Indiana Gaming Commission reporting $53 million in adjusted gross sports betting revenue. That’s the second-highest month in state history, behind only January.

More Bets and More State Revenue
The September handle was $483.8 million, a 19.7% increase from the same month last year and the fifth-highest in state history.
For the first nine months of 2024, the handle is $3.49 billion, a 20.9% increase from the same period last year. Indiana is the eighth state to reach $18 billion in post-PASPA handle.
The state took in over $5 million in taxes in September, bringing the year-to-date total to $33.4 million, which is $6.8 million more than the first nine months of 2023. Indiana has now passed $150 million in total sports betting tax revenue since launch.
Indiana sportsbooks had a 10.9% hold in September, the ninth month in a row with a double-digit hold. The combined hold for these states is 12.3% on $2.03 billion in handle. Indiana sportsbooks have had double-digit holds for five straight months, the longest streak in state history.
DraftKings on Top
DraftKings was the top sportsbook in Indiana for September, with a $190.3 million handle and $19.7 million in revenue, a 10.3% win rate. This is the second month in a row DraftKings has led the state in both handle and revenue. DraftKings has now won $121.1 million in 2024, just $12.5 million shy of its 2023 total.
FanDuel was second in handle at $148.4 million and had a 12.3% hold for $18.2 million in revenue. The operator has now passed $1 billion in wagers for the year and is still the leader in total revenue with $132.2 million for the first nine months of 2024.
BetMGM had a good month, with $5.1 million in revenue and a 13.9% hold on $36.9 million in handle. Bet365, in its first football season in Indiana, had $2.5 million in revenue from $21.1 million in wagers, an 11.8% win rate.
