Billy Turchin Takes the Helm as PENN Entertainment’s Product Chief
PENN Entertainment tapped a big player, naming Billy Turchin as Chief Product Officer for its PENN Interactive arm.

A Fresh Face at PENN Interactive
Fresh off a LinkedIn post, Turchin’s pumped to steer the product strategy for digital experiences across PENN’s online gaming lineup: ESPN BET, Hollywood Casino, theScore, and theScore Bet. “Excited to share that I’ve joined PENN Entertainment,” he wrote, signaling his itch to shake up the iGaming scene from his remote base in Atlanta, Georgia.
Turchin’s stepping into a hefty role. PENN runs 43+ casino and racetrack spots across North America under brands like Hollywood, Ameristar, and L’Auberge, boasting the continent’s biggest gaming footprint.
Add its online reach, and you’ve got a powerhouse blending physical and digital fun. “I’m thrilled to be part of shaping what comes next,” Turchin said, eyeing a chance to disrupt an industry that’s growing fast.
A Loaded Resume
Before PENN, he spent over three years as Senior Vice President of Product at FanDuel, leading strategy across acquisition, payments, safety, and more, everything from KYC checks to UX design.
Before that, he was Chief Product Officer at Honeywell Forge, juicing up their building software with AI and IoT for brands worldwide.
At Shangri-La Hotels, he ran digital and marketing channels out of Hong Kong, pushing e-commerce and social plays like WeChat. Then there’s his eight-year stint at IHG Hotels, where he climbed from CRM Director to VP of Digital & Distribution in Greater China, revamping the guest experience with localized tech.
PENN’s online brands, like ESPN BET, are gunning to stand out in a crowded field. Turchin’s job is clear: make PENN’s digital platforms pop. His FanDuel days honed him for this, building slick, safe, and sticky user experiences that keep players coming back. “Grateful to be a disrupter,” he posted, and PENN’s banking on that vibe.
