VIP Play Steps Into West Virginia’s Gaming Scene
VIP Play snagged temporary sports betting and iGaming licenses from the West Virginia Lottery, marking its first leap beyond Tennessee.

Licenses Landed
Known there as ZenSports, a mobile betting outfit, the company’s now gearing up to tackle West Virginia’s market. This move opens the door to iGaming, a fresh play for VIP Play, in a state where both online betting and casino games are legal.
The push ties back to a deal with Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Casino, setting VIP Play up to roll out services in the coming months.
No hard launch date’s set, but the firm’s eyeing a piece of West Virginia’s gaming pie. With iGaming wins hitting $26.2 million for licensed operators in February 2025, even a small slice could mean solid cash for VIP Play’s bottom line.
Testing the Waters
West Virginia’s a smart spot to test the iGaming waters. It’s smaller than heavyweights like New Jersey or Pennsylvania, meaning less cutthroat competition.
Still, big brads like BetMGM and FanDuel are already in the ring, so VIP Play will need to hustle to grab attention. The state’s setup, fewer players, growing market, could let the company fine-tune its online casino platform before chasing bigger turf.
Nobody’s sure yet if VIP Play will stick with the ZenSports name or drop a new brand for West Virginia. The company, once KeyStar Corp., scooped up ZenSports’ assets in 2022 and built its Tennessee base from there.
