VIP Play Partners with Delaware North for West Virginia Market Access
VIP Play, the operator behind ZenSports in Tennessee secured market access in West Virginia. The company has signed a definitive agreement with Delaware North to operate sports betting and online casino under Delaware North’s Wheeling Island Casino license.
Expanding into West Virginia
The deal positions VIP Play to launch its operations in West Virginia, pending regulatory approval, ahead of the 2025 collegiate football season. This marks VIP Play’s entry into iGaming in the U.S., adding online casino games to its offerings alongside sports betting.
Bruce Cassidy, CEO and Chairman of VIP Play, emphasized the significance of the partnership:
“We appreciate Delaware North’s access to the wonderful state of West Virginia. This is an ideal market for VIP Play to expand into as part of our U.S. growth efforts. We’re excited to bring our newly branded VIP Play app to West Virginia residents and visitors in 2025.”
Delaware North operates a portfolio of regional casinos across eight states, making it a key player in the U.S. gaming industry. The agreement allows VIP Play to leverage Delaware North’s established presence in West Virginia, while the hospitality company will receive a percentage of VIP Play’s online net gaming revenue as part of the partnership.
A New Era for VIP Play
The move into West Virginia aligns with VIP Play’s broader plans for 2025, which include the debut of its rebranded VIP Play app. The redesigned app will launch first in Tennessee and expand to West Virginia as the company seeks to establish itself as a major player in both sports betting and iGaming.
VIP Play’s expansion efforts are backed by its multi-year deal with Kambi Group, announced in November 2024. The agreement enables VIP Play to use Kambi’s Turnkey Sportsbook platform, enhancing the company’s sportsbook operations in Tennessee and beyond.
