Underdog Teams Up With Kansas City Royals to Bring Sports Betting to Missouri
Underdog, the fastest-growing sports company in the U.S., and the Kansas City Royals have announced a multi-year agreement covering sports betting and fan engagement. The deal combines market access for licensed sports betting in Missouri with new marketing campaigns and community initiatives.

Underdog Expands Into Missouri With Royals Partnership
Underdog has a pending sports betting license under review by the Missouri Gaming Commission. It already runs licensed sports betting in North Carolina and holds fantasy sports licenses in many other states.
Stacie Stern, Senior Vice President of Government Affairs and Partnerships at Underdog, said the company’s approach has always been to connect directly with sports fans. “We are going to work with the Royals to bring the best sports betting experience possible to fans in Missouri, while we continue to drive innovation in sports gaming and expand our product offerings in new states,” Stern explained.
Brooks Sherman, Royals President of Business Operations, highlighted the long-standing relationship between the team and Underdog. “We’ve partnered with them on some of our most engaging fan programs, like Bark at the Park and the Underdog Hot Dog Derby, and we look forward to working with Underdog to provide Royals fans throughout Missouri the opportunity to have even more fun while watching sports,” Sherman said.
Fan Experience and Community Efforts
Underdog emphasizes creating products designed for U.S. sports fans on its own technology platform. This setup allows it to deliver sports entertainment experiences built specifically for American audiences.
The company also plans to work with the Royals on philanthropic projects alongside the marketing campaigns. Fans in Missouri can already download the Underdog app to play fantasy sports today, ahead of the state’s launch of licensed sports betting later this year.
