Sports Betting in New Hampshire Up 2% in October
In October, sports betting in New Hampshire saw a 1.9% year-over-year increase, reaching a handle of $79.4 million.
October Handle Growth
Of the total $79.4 million handle, mobile betting contributed $69.5 million, marking a 6% year-over-year increase, while retail betting generated $9.8 million, reflecting an 18% year-over-year decrease.
However, revenues saw a significant decline, dropping 33.2% compared to October 2023 and reaching $5.8 million, the lowest figure since June. Revenue also fell 36.6% month-over-month from September, reflecting a broader trend across states. October proved to be a challenging month for operators in terms of player wins.
It’s worth noting that DraftKings is the sole sports betting operator in New Hampshire, managing both the retail locations across three sites in the state and the online platform accessible to all New Hampshire residents.
New Hampshire Lottery
The New Hampshire Lottery reported a record $200.7 million in revenue for public education funding, a 7% year-over-year increase, amounting to an additional $13 million.
Since its inception in 1964, the New Hampshire Lottery has contributed over $2.85 billion to public education, celebrating its 60th anniversary in March.
In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, the New Hampshire Lottery achieved $631 million in sales, representing a 5% increase compared to the prior year.
