Light & Wonder has announced the appointment of Simon Johnson as the new CEO of its iGaming division. Johnson has been with the company since 2017, where he has contributed to its international operations and commercial strategies.
Leadership Transition Following Dylan Slaney’s Tenure
Since joining Light & Wonder, Johnson has held leadership roles that include overseeing operations across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.
His work has focused on driving the company’s international commercial efforts and expanding its presence in key markets.
Johnson takes over the position following Dylan Slaney’s decision to step down as CEO of iGaming. Slaney, who had been in the role since October 2021, announced his departure on LinkedIn, describing it as a personal decision.
During his tenure, Slaney oversaw the rebranding of the iGaming division from SG Digital to Light & Wonder iGaming, aligning with the company’s focus on gaming-centric services.

In his statement, Johnson expressed enthusiasm about his new role and the opportunities that lie ahead for the iGaming division.
