Scientific Games has announced the launch of its new, state-of-the-art instant scratch game production technology at the company’s global headquarters in metro Atlanta.

This is the culmination of a significant $65 million investment across its global production facilities, aimed at enhancing the capabilities and reach of its scratch game offerings.

Enhancing Global Lottery Offerings

John Schulz, President of Americas and Global Instant Products at Scientific Games, emphasized the impact of the new technology. “The most important benefit this advanced technology offers our lottery customers worldwide is Scientific Games’ ability to accelerate instant scratch game innovations to excite existing and future players and deliver games faster, ultimately to help lotteries generate monies for the causes they support,” he said.

Scientific Games dominates the instant product market, accounting for 70% of global retail sales. The company supports 114 government-regulated lotteries worldwide, with scratch games generating significant annual revenues.

These revenues contribute an estimated $32.1 billion to lottery-funded good cause programs annually, showcasing the vital role of these games in supporting public services and initiatives.

The newly unveiled technology promises enhanced game quality and security and also introduces more flexibility in game design. Lotteries can now quickly produce games with unique playstyles and specialty finishes.

Furthermore, Schulz reiterated the company’s dedication to responsible gaming and environmental stewardship, utilizing recyclable materials and water-based inks in their production processes.
