09.04.2024

Rush Street Interactive has appointed Brian Sapp as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Sapp will be responsible for leading the company’s marketing efforts across all platforms.

Sapp, with his extensive background in the mobile and gaming sectors, steps into this role to spearhead marketing strategies that align with Rush Street’s ambitious growth plans.

Experience Meets Innovation

With a proven track record in data-driven marketing and a deep understanding of the mobile industry’s nuances, Sapp is poised to infuse Rush Street Interactive with fresh perspectives. His direct reporting to CEO Richard Schwartz underscores the integral role marketing plays in the company’s expansive vision.

Richard Schwartz, in welcoming Sapp, highlighted the unique mix of gaming and mobile expertise that Sapp brings to the table. “As we continue to grow and expand across the Americas, a marketing leader with Mr. Sapp’s unique blend of gaming and mobile experience, strategic insight, and creativity will be additive to the team as we shape the future of our brand and continue to innovate our customer-first experience,” Schwartz noted.

Focusing on Growth and Innovation

The addition of Sapp allows Mattias Stetz, COO of Rush Street Interactive, who previously helmed marketing efforts, to dedicate more attention to operational scalability and the burgeoning Latin American market.

Expressing his excitement about joining the team, Sapp stated, “I am thrilled to join Rush Street Interactive at a time when the company has such strong momentum. RSI’s customer-first focus resonated with me as a marketer who understands what it takes to succeed in a competitive mobile landscape. I look forward to leveraging my experience and expertise to drive forward our marketing initiatives during RSI’s next phase of growth and deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.”

Before stepping into this role, Sapp had impactful tenures at Rec Room and Jam City, where he led various functions from media buying to user acquisition, significantly contributing to growth and user engagement. His journey through the ranks of the mobile and gaming industry, including a pivotal role at WB Games, has equipped him with a rich toolkit to navigate the competitive landscape of iGaming.
