Pro League Network Expands Betting Offerings with CarJitsu Championship in New Jersey
Pro League Network (PLN), a sports betting and entertainment company known for its niche and unique sports offerings, has received authorization from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) to introduce a new betting market.

Expanding Niche Sports Betting
Starting in July, bettors in New Jersey will be able to place wagers on the CarJitsu Championship, a rapidly growing competition where jiu-jitsu athletes battle inside a car.
The CarJitsu Championship joins a variety of other niche sports already approved for betting in New Jersey. The DGE has previously sanctioned wagering on sports like bandy, billiards, badminton, and lawn bowling.
Legislative Developments in Sports Betting
Further changes to New Jersey’s betting markets could be on the horizon. Earlier this year, Senator Kristin Corrado introduced Senate Bill 3080, which seeks to ban operators from accepting player prop bets on college sports. While current state law allows college player prop bets, it prohibits wagering on in-state college teams.
The proposed ban aims to protect student-athletes, coaches, and team officials from the risks associated with betting-related harassment. NCAA President Charlie Baker has also advocated for nationwide regulatory changes to eliminate college player prop bets, aligning with the bill’s objectives.
