PrizePicks Taps Caroline Silveira for Regulatory Role

PrizePicks, North America’s top daily fantasy sports operator, named Caroline Silveira as its Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs.

A Big Hire for PrizePicks

Tasked with handling all government matters in California and other Western states, Silveira brings over two decades of expertise to navigate the U.S. iGaming market.

Her role is key as PrizePicks, fresh off a San Diego Padres deal, eyes expansion in the $300 million California fantasy scene.

Silveira’s deep regulatory background strengthens PrizePicks’ push into complex markets. With California’s 2026 sports betting vote looming. Her experience could sway lawmakers.

A Wealth of Experience

Before joining PrizePicks, Silveira spent 13 years at Corteva Agriscience, from December 2010 to March 2024, as Government and Industry Affairs Lead for the U.S. West. She shaped policies across agriculture, engaging state legislatures.

From 2010 to 2018, she also served as Manager of Government Affairs for DuPont’s U.S. West Region, managing regulatory compliance. Her work influenced $500 million in regional agribusiness policies.

Silveira’s resume includes a stint at the Consumer Brands Association (formerly Grocery Manufacturers Association) from May 2006 to November 2010, where she led lobbying as Director of State Affairs for 13 Western states. Her efforts secured $200 million in favorable legislation.

Earlier, from October 1996 to April 2006, she was Legislative Director in the California State Senate, steering bills and managing staff for multiple senators.
