PrizePicks Partners with EPIC Global to Bolster Responsible Gaming Initiatives
PrizePicks has announced a new partnership with EPIC Global Solutions, a key provider of gaming harm prevention services. As part of this collaboration, PrizePicks will provide its employees with comprehensive educational sessions led by EPIC’s responsible gaming experts.
Collaboration Focuses on Employee Education
The sessions, introduced during Responsible Gaming Education Month (RGEM), aim to increase awareness of problem gaming, the importance of prevention methods, and the implementation of responsible gaming measures within the company.
Phil Sherwood, Senior Director of Responsible Gaming at PrizePicks, emphasized the company’s dedication to setting high standards for responsible gaming in the DFS industry. “Our goal is to elevate the standard for responsible gaming, and our partnership with EPIC will further enhance our internal resources. These training sessions are designed to foster safer gaming environments and improve the overall experience for our users,” Sherwood stated.
Organizational Assessment to Strengthen Strategy
In addition to the educational workshops, EPIC Global Solutions will conduct a thorough organizational assessment of PrizePicks. This evaluation aims to identify gaps and opportunities where responsible gaming practices can be improved across the company. The findings from this assessment will inform actionable recommendations, which will be integrated into PrizePicks’ broader responsible gaming strategy.
Teresa Fiore, VP of Partnerships at EPIC Global Solutions, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration. “We’re excited to work with PrizePicks and help identify opportunities to further embed responsible gaming across their organization. Our workshops, led by facilitators with firsthand experience of gaming addiction, will offer employees valuable insights into how they can actively contribute to harm prevention,” Fiore explained.
This partnership builds on a series of recent initiatives by PrizePicks to enhance its responsible gaming framework. In June, the company made headlines by partnering with Kindbridge Behavioral Health to provide clinical services for its users, marking the first time a gaming operator has offered such support at no cost.
The program is currently focused on prevention, treatment, and recovery related to problem gaming, reinforcing PrizePicks’ commitment to creating a safer and more supportive gaming environment.
