PrizePicks has launched a new “early exit” option that fundamentally changes how players manage their fantasy lineups. The feature, officially termed the Early Payout slider, allows users to cash out an unfinished Lineup early on select sports and statistic types.

Smarter Strategy Through Real-Time Payouts

The core function of the Early Payout slider is to give players immediate financial control during a live contest. Once two or more players in an eligible Lineup have begun play, the Early Payout feature becomes available.

The potential payout amount is dynamic, constantly adjusting in real time based on the performance of the chosen players. This fluctuation means players must actively monitor the action and the payout graph to decide the optimal time to exit. By using the slider to settle a Lineup early, players can guarantee a profit while their picks are performing well, rather than risking a final-minute collapse. Conversely, the feature also provides a chance to minimize losses on a Lineup that is performing poorly.

Once a player confirms an early exit using the slider, the corresponding funds are immediately credited to their account balance. This instant payout allows users to quickly reinvest those funds into creating a new Lineup for an upcoming contest. Players can track their potential payout value in real time using the Pulse tab within the PrizePicks app, which provides a graphic display of their Lineup’s progress.

New Social Community Features

The launch of the Early Payout feature follows a broader product upgrade focused on building a community within the platform. PrizePicks recently introduced a host of new social features headlined by The Feed.

The Feed combines recently launched player profiles with a first-of-its-kind social timeline. This feature allows users to see and interact with picks made by friends and the wider PrizePicks community as they are submitted. This innovation aims to move the social conversation about fantasy picks out of external group chats and directly into the PrizePicks application.

Players can search for and follow friends’ profiles, which display lifetime statistics. More importantly, users can easily copy a Lineup that appears in The Feed with a single tap, allowing them to instantly “ride” with a successful friend or influencer. This integration of social sharing and real-time community engagement is a key step for the operator.
