PrizePicks and Kindbridge Behavioral Health Partner to Offer Free Mental Health Support for Players and Employees

PrizePicks has announced a pioneering partnership with Kindbridge Behavioral Health, a leading mental health service provider specializing in problem gaming support.

The collaboration will provide PrizePicks players and customer-facing employees with free access to Kindbridge’s top-tier clinical services, marking a significant step forward in responsible gaming efforts.

Comprehensive Support at No Initial Cost

Under this new program, PrizePicks will cover all initial costs for Kindbridge’s comprehensive support services. This includes in-depth clinical assessments, clinical review and care plan development sessions, as well as access to educational and peer support groups.

By doing so, PrizePicks aims to eliminate financial barriers that often prevent individuals from seeking necessary help.

Adam Wexler, PrizePicks Co-founder and CEO, expressed pride in the initiative, stating, “It’s essential that the fantasy sports industry invests and innovates in the area of responsible gaming. This initiative not only helps players and employees but also strengthens PrizePicks’ role in promoting social responsibility within the industry.”

Commitment to Preventing and Treating Problem Gaming

The collaboration with Kindbridge underscores PrizePicks’ commitment to both prevention and treatment of problem gaming. By providing immediate access to professional mental health services, the program aims to support the gaming community in maintaining healthy gaming habits and recovering from gaming-related issues.

Daniel Umfleet, Founder and CEO of Kindbridge Behavioral Health, praised the initiative, noting that many individuals struggle to access comprehensive care due to financial constraints, even with insurance. “This collaboration is a pivotal step toward eliminating these barriers, ensuring people can access the support they need, regardless of their financial situation,” Umfleet stated.

Phil Sherwood, Senior Director of Responsible Gaming at PrizePicks, highlighted the importance of making mental health services accessible. “Many individuals face high out-of-pocket expenses for healthcare even with insurance, making it difficult to get the help they need. Partnering with Kindbridge allows us to help those individuals who wish to take preventative measures with a variety of world-class mental health services at no cost to them,” Sherwood said.
