PENN Entertainment’s 2023 CSR Report Highlights $8 Million in Charitable Donations

PENN Entertainment has released its 2023 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report. The report, accessible on the company’s website, outlines PENN’s ongoing efforts to support its workforce, contribute to community well-being, and implement sustainable practices.

Community and Environmental Impact

In 2023, PENN donated over $8 million to local charities and facilitated $17 million in economic development grants.

The company’s contributions to veteran and military-support organizations exceeded $750,000, including cash and in-kind donations.

Additionally, a military scholarship was established at Penn State Berks, reinforcing PENN’s commitment to supporting veterans.

Employee Engagement and Diversity

PENN’s employees dedicated over 9,500 volunteer hours to various causes, demonstrating the company’s culture of giving back.

The launch of the “PENN Women” employee resource group marks a significant step towards enhancing inclusivity and providing mentorship within the company.

Moreover, the Diverse Vendor Incubator Program exceeded its goals, with a total spend of more than $108 million on diverse vendors.

The report also details PENN’s increased sustainability efforts, including the completion of its first Scope 3 GHG emissions inventory and updates to Scope 1 and 2 assessments.
