PENN Entertainment to Break Ground on New Hotel at Hollywood Casino Columbus

Broader Growth Strategy

This new hotel is a part of PENN Entertainment’s larger expansion plan, which includes four significant growth projects: new land-based casinos in Aurora and Joliet, Illinois, and an additional hotel tower in Henderson, Nevada.

The Aurora project is receiving $50 million in funding from the City of Aurora, and Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. has committed up to $575 million towards the total $850 million budget for all these initiatives.
