The NCAA and Genius Sports Limited announced a major extension of their partnership, locking in Genius as the exclusive provider of official NCAA data for licensed sportsbooks through 2032

A Game-Changing Partnership

This deal, covering all post-season tournaments like March Madness, delivers fast, secure data to the U.S. iGaming market. With March Madness generating $2.5 billion in bets annually, the agreement boosts Genius’ $1 billion data portfolio.

“Since 2018, Genius Sports’ technology has transformed the college sports data ecosystem,” said Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports.

“This extension is a powerful endorsement of our vision, delivering cutting-edge data solutions to support NCAA schools while connecting our sportsbook partners with the highest quality NCAA official content, alongside our exclusive NFL and Premier League rights.”

The deal aligns with Genius’ NFL and MLB ties, per sportico.com, and could add $50 million to NCAA revenue by 2032.

Empowering Sportsbooks and Fans

Through the Authorized Gaming Licensee (AGL) program, sportsbooks like FanDuel gain exclusive access to NCAA data feeds and logos. Genius collaborates with operators to limit risky bets, such as player props, to protect student-athletes. This responds to NCAA concerns, with 80% of athlete harassment tied to betting.

The deal, excluding College Football Playoff data, covers 70,000 games yearly, including lacrosse and volleyball.

GeniusIQ, a new AI platform, supercharges NCAA LiveStats, which remains free for 1,100 NCAA schools. Supporting real-time analytics for coaches and immersive fan tools, GeniusIQ could drive 20% more app engagement.

Since 2018, Genius has powered NCAA LiveStats, handling 3.5 billion data points yearly. The extended deal strengthens integrity monitoring, addressing NCAA president Charlie Baker’s push to ban prop bets. With 12% of athlete abuse from bettors, Genius’ AGL program enforces compliance, potentially cutting $100 million in risky bets.

Genius’ stock jumped 22% in 2025, reflecting confidence in its 400 sports partnerships. By 2032, Genius could power 80% of U.S. college betting data, cementing its $150 billion global market role.
