Michigan’s iGaming and Sports Betting Revenue Increase in May

In May, Michigan’s commercial and tribal operators reported a combined total of $239.5 million in gross iGaming and sports betting receipts, reflecting a 2% increase from April.

Adjusted Gross Receipts (AGR)

The breakdown includes $198.6 million generated from iGaming and $40.9 million from gross sports betting receipts.

The combined adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for May were $206.8 million, with $178.7 million coming from iGaming and $28.1 million from online sports betting.

These figures represent an increase of 2.6% for iGaming and 1.2% for sports betting compared to the previous month. Year-on-year, iGaming AGR saw a substantial increase of 31.9%, while sports betting AGR grew by 27.7%.

Sports Betting Handle and Tax Contributions

The online sports betting handle for May was $343.7 million, marking a 13.9% decrease from April.

Despite this decline, operators submitted $38.8 million in taxes and payments to the State of Michigan.
