MGM Resorts and Playtech have expanded their “Live from Vegas” offering with the launch of a licensed, interactive version of the classic game show Family Feud. The new game is streamed in real time from a purpose-built studio located directly on the casino floor of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, a first-of-its-kind broadcast for the iconic gaming property.

A New Category of Live Gaming

The “Live from Vegas” initiative is a major step in MGM’s digital growth strategy. The new Family Feud game is not just a digital adaptation; it is a fully interactive, live-dealer style experience. The game is hosted from a transparent glass studio that is visible to the public 24/7, creating a direct connection to the energy of the Las Vegas Strip.

“MGM Resorts, with Playtech and Fremantle, is at the forefront of digital gaming bringing the iconic Las Vegas experience to people around the globe,” said Gary Fritz, President of MGM Resorts International Interactive. “The live dealer studio marks a major step in our growth strategy and pursuit of being the world’s premier gaming entertainment company.”

A Partnership of Industry Giants

The new game is a three-way collaboration between some of the biggest names in gaming and entertainment. MGM provides the iconic Las Vegas brand and location, Playtech supplies the underlying live gaming technology, and Fremantle, the owner of the Family Feud franchise, provides the licensed content.

“For the first time, Family Feud has been integrated into a live dealer environment, powered by actual survey questions from the official Family Feud franchise,” said Suzanne Lopez, Chief Operating Officer at Fremantle. “This collaboration delivers a truly unique and authentic game show experience.”

Mor Weizer, CEO of Playtech, added that the launch represents a “shared ambition to redefine live gaming entertainment.” He described the new offering as a “new category of immersive and engaging content to support growth in regulated markets.”

Global Reach, U.S. Exclusion

A key detail of the new offering is its target audience. The “Live from Vegas” Family Feud game is being made available to online gaming operators in regulated markets outside of the United States.

This international focus allows MGM and Playtech to leverage the global appeal of the Las Vegas brand without navigating the complex and state-by-state regulatory landscape of iGaming within the U.S. The studio also broadcasts a suite of traditional live dealer table games, including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat, for the same international markets.

The partnership is set to continue evolving, with plans to broaden the portfolio of live-streamed experiences to include other unique entertainment offerings for which MGM and Las Vegas are known.
