Megan Thee Stallion Stars in Fanatics Sportsbook Campaign for NBA Season
Fanatics Sportsbook, currently one of the fastest-growing sports betting platforms in the United States, has launched a major new advertising series for the start of the NBA season. The campaign, titled “Explained by Megan Thee Stallion,” stars the three-time Grammy Award-winning superstar, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

The series aims to blend music, basketball, and culture while promoting the sportsbook’s two primary unique features: FanCash rewards and Fair Play™ injury protection.
The first commercial, “FanCash Explained by Megan Thee Stallion: Orchestra,” shows the star conducting a 25-piece orchestra from center court. The musicians, dressed in various team colors, perform an orchestral version of her hit song, “Savage.” The cinematic spot, directed by Grammy-winning filmmaker Calmatic, seeks to redefine the typical sports betting advertisement.
Earning and Redeeming FanCash
The campaign’s first focus is the FanCash rewards program. Megan Thee Stallion explains how Fanatics is changing the betting experience by making it more rewarding for users. Unlike traditional loyalty programs, FanCash is earned on wagers whether the bet wins or loses.
FanCash is the company’s loyalty currency, with every dollar of FanCash equaling a dollar to spend across the wider Fanatics ecosystem. Customers can redeem their earned FanCash on things they actually want, such as authentic NBA merchandise, tickets to games, collectibles, unique fan experiences, and even Bonus Bets on the sportsbook platform. This direct connection between wagering and fandom merchandise is a key selling point for Fanatics, underscoring the brand’s tagline: “Winning Hits Different Here.”
Expanding Fair Play™ Injury Protection
A second ad, “Fair Play Explained by Megan Thee Stallion: Steed,” is scheduled to launch later in the month. This spot highlights the expansion of the Fair Play™ Injury Protection policy. This feature provides customers with what Fanatics calls the most generous bet protection in the industry.
For the entire 2025–2026 NBA regular season, the Fair Play™ policy will be extended to cover the entire first half of every game. Under this policy, if a player who is the subject of a player prop bet is injured and leaves the game during the first half, Fanatics will refund or void the bet. For legs within a parlay or Same Game Parlay, the injured player’s leg is voided, and the rest of the parlay remains active for a recalculated payout.
Selena Kalvaria, Chief Marketing Officer at Fanatics Betting and Gaming, said Megan Thee Stallion embodies the energy where music, fashion, and sport intersect, making her the ideal partner to promote the company’s fan-first approach. The campaign will run across all major media channels, with special integrations planned for key NBA events, including the In-Season Tournament, All-Star Weekend, and the Playoffs.
