Massachusetts Regulators to Prioritize Sports Betting Limits in October Forum
Massachusetts regulators have scheduled a special meeting by early October to address sports betting limits.

Operators Expected to Participate
During a recent Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) meeting, it was decided that the forum will be held as a standalone session to keep the focus solely on the issue.
Interim Chair Jordan Maynard emphasized the importance of operator participation, stating he expects full engagement from all involved parties.
The MGC initially began exploring sports betting limits in March and held a roundtable in May. However, no active Massachusetts sports betting operators attended, which led to frustration among the commissioners.
A Two-Part Discussion on Limits
The upcoming forum will be divided into two segments. In the first half, operators will present their data and insights, sharing how they make decisions on betting limits.
The second half will open the floor to bettors and responsible gambling organizations, allowing them to offer their perspectives on the topic.
The MGC’s ongoing exploration of sports betting limits could lead to formal regulations. Earlier discussions in June hinted at the possibility, with Maynard urging operators to participate proactively.
