Kansas Sports Betting Sees Decline in July
According to the Kansas Lottery’s latest data, in July 2024 sportsbooks generated $9.199 million in revenue on a 7.54% hold.

Revenue Trends Compared to Other Months
While July saw lower overall revenue for Kansas sportsbooks, it wasn’t the lowest-performing month of the year. That distinction belongs to February, where despite a higher $203 million handle, operators recorded just $8.46 million in revenue.
The state of Kansas collected $919,947 in tax contributions from sports betting in July, with nearly all of that—$914,710—coming from online sportsbooks. Retail sportsbooks in the state contributed only $5,237 to the total tax pool, reflecting the dominance of online betting in the state.
DraftKings and FanDuel Lead in Online Betting
The bulk of betting activity in Kansas continues to occur online, with the state’s six online sportsbooks settling $118.8 million in wagers in July.
Online sportsbooks accounted for $9.15 million in revenue, with BetMGM standing out for its 11.3% hold, generating $964,426 in revenue from an $8.51 million handle.
DraftKings and FanDuel continue to dominate the Kansas online sports betting market, with both achieving eight-figure handles and seven-figure revenues.
