Kansas Sports Betting Flourishes in March with $253M Handle
The Kansas Lottery released its sports betting figures for March, showing a handle nearing $253 million.
A substantial portion of this, approximately $243 million, was generated through online bets. In contrast, retail locations contributed a smaller fraction, accumulating $9.7 million in wagers.
Revenue Distribution Across Casinos
March’s total revenue for sports betting in Kansas stood at $7.1 million. Leading the pack was Boot Hill Casino & Resort, which dominated with $4.7 million in online wagers.
In partnership with DraftKings, Boot Hill Casino accounted for nearly $98.3 million of the total online bets placed.
Performance of Other State Casinos
Following Boot Hill, Kansas Star Casino & Resort and Kansas Crossing Casino & Resort were the next largest contributors to the March handle, with $70.2 million and $54 million respectively.
From the month’s activities, Kansas collected $714,697 in taxes from sports betting. This revenue contributes to the state’s funds, supporting various public sectors including education, infrastructure, and healthcare.
