Kambi’s 2025 Tribal Report Highlights Big Gains for B2B Partners

11.03.2025

Kambi’s latest 2025 Tribal Sports Betting Report shines a spotlight on the booming success of its B2B tribal partners across North America. The Stockholm-based tech powerhouse, a go-to for cutting-edge sportsbook solutions, saw big growths in 2024, proof that sports betting’s a game-changer for tribal casinos, both online and retail.

Handle Takes Off

Total betting handle among Kambi’s tribal partners jumped 51% from 2023, blending online and retail action. Break it down, and retail bets soared 54%, while online wagers grew a solid 32%.

Bet counts followed suit: up 72% overall, with retail spiking 74% and online rising 51%. That’s a lot of action, fueled by Kambi’s tech and a network spanning over 40 operators, including heavyweights like Mohegan Gaming, Seneca Gaming, and Desert Diamond.

It’s not just about the bets, though. Sportsbooks are lifting entire properties. Take Potawatomi Casino Hotel, since launching its Kambi-powered sportsbook in May 2024, food and beverage sales spiked 14%, a ripple effect of new crowds hitting the floor.

What’s driving the action? Football reigns supreme, grabbing 31% of the handle, with basketball close behind at 29% and baseball at 20%. Soccer (6%) and hockey (5%) trail, while “other” sports scoop up 9%.

Switch to Bet Builder bets and football’s dominance grows to 45%, followed by basketball at 35% and baseball at 14%. Hockey and soccer tie at 3% here, showing combo bets lean hard into the big three.

Kiosks are also stealing the show. More players are ditching cashiers for self-service betting, especially on Bet Builder options, thanks to Kambi’s slick on-property tech. Online, nearly half of cash-out users, those cashing winnings early, reinvest within five minutes, keeping the cycle spinning.

A Win for Casinos

Justin Arnett, Potawatomi’s VP of Digital Gaming, summed up the impact: “Since launching our state-of-the-art sportsbook at Potawatomi Casino Hotel in May of 2024, we’ve seen a significant impact not just within our sportsbook, but across our entire property.”

He noted a flood of younger guests joining reward programs and gaming more, adding, “We’ve experienced a 14% increase in food and beverage activity, demonstrating how sports betting enhances the broader guest experience.”

Arnett credits Kambi, saying, “Their high-performance sports betting technology and industry expertise have allowed us to deliver a premium product that resonates with our guests and contributes to our continued growth.”

That’s the playbook, sports betting doesn’t just pad the books; it pulls in new faces, boosts loyalty, and juices up ancillary revenue. Kambi’s B2B approach, from risk management to kiosks, hands tribes the tools to max out the potential.
