Jackpot Digital Scores First U.S. State License in Maine

28.02.2025

Jackpot Digital secured license approval from the Maine Gambling Control Unit (MGCU). This is their first state-issued license in the American market.

Breaking New Ground

Until now, Jackpot Digital’s U.S. operations were limited to individual tribal casino partnerships. Each property required its own separate licensing arrangement. The Maine approval changes everything.

With this state-wide license, the company can now install its innovative dealerless poker tables anywhere in Maine. This opens doors to every casino in the state rather than negotiating property by property.

“Receiving approval from MGCU is a major accomplishment,” said Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital. “A state license grants us access to the entire state.”

Strategic Expansion Plans

The Maine approval may just be the beginning. Kalpakian revealed the company has several additional state licenses currently pending approval. These applications target larger commercial casino markets across the United States.

This strategic approach could dramatically accelerate Jackpot Digital’s market penetration. State-wide licenses would allow them to approach major casino operators with multi-property portfolios.

“We have several additional state licenses pending approval, representing a major expansion opportunity into larger state-regulated commercial casinos,” Kalpakian noted.

Flagship Product Ready for Deployment

The company plans to market its Jackpot Blitz® electronic table game (ETG) throughout Maine immediately. This dealerless poker platform combines traditional multiplayer poker with advanced digital technology.

Jackpot Blitz® offers casinos a modern alternative to traditional poker rooms. The system requires no dealer, reducing operational costs while providing an engaging player experience.

“We are excited to bring our innovative products to Maine’s gaming community and reinforce our commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology-driven entertainment,” added Kalpakian.

Jackpot Digital isn’t wasting any time. The company plans to immediately begin discussions with Maine casino operators to showcase their technology.

Meanwhile, the licensing team continues pushing forward applications in other jurisdictions. Each new state approval would significantly expand their potential customer base.
