IMG ARENA, a global sports data and technology provider, has selected the tech firm nVenue to develop and power a new generation of live betting products for Major League Soccer (MLS). The decision follows what IMG ARENA described as a “comprehensive, industry-wide evaluation” to find a suitable technology partner.

A Partnership Built on Technology

The collaboration will pair IMG ARENA’s exclusive access to official MLS data with nVenue’s predictive technology platform. Together, the companies will introduce high-frequency “micro-betting” markets, which are wagers on specific, discrete events within a game, such as the outcome of the next possession or play.

This approach is designed to open up new revenue opportunities for sportsbook operators by offering a continuous stream of betting options that align with the real-time flow of a match.

After its extensive review, IMG ARENA identified nVenue as the “clear leader” in the space. The selection was based on nVenue’s supercompute technology, market innovation, and its proven ability to operate at scale.

“As we looked to expand our live betting portfolio for MLS, it was essential to find a technology partner with the capability to deliver at scale,” said Andrew Turner, Director of Commercial Partnerships for the Americas at IMG ARENA.

A Validation for nVenue

For nVenue, being chosen by a major data rights holder like IMG ARENA serves as a significant endorsement of its technology and market position. The company’s platform uses proprietary machine learning and artificial intelligence to generate its real-time predictive markets.

“IMG ARENA’s selection of nVenue to develop MLS betting products is a significant validation of our market-leading product,” said Quinton Singleton, President & COO of nVenue. “We’re proud to work alongside IMG and MLS to bring fans closer to the game through dynamic, real-time betting markets purpose-built for soccer.”

Both companies are established players in the sports technology ecosystem. IMG ARENA delivers data and streaming for over 65,000 events annually for clients including the UFC and PGA Tour. nVenue’s technology powers offerings for major operators and media companies like Sportradar, ESPNBET, and Apple TV.
