Genius Sports has secured a landmark exclusive partnership with Serie A, Italy’s top-tier soccer league. The long-term deal gives Genius the exclusive rights to capture and distribute official data and low-latency betting video streams for all Serie A, Coppa Italia, and Supercoppa Italiana matches through the 2028-29 season.

A “Landmark Agreement” for a Global Soccer Powerhouse

The agreement makes Genius Sports the sole authorized distributor of Serie A’s official data and international betting streams. This provides Genius’s global network of sportsbook partners with the fastest and most accurate data feed for one of the world’s most popular soccer leagues.

Luigi de Siervo, CEO of Lega Serie A, called the deal a “landmark agreement” in a “rapidly evolving market.” He emphasized that the partnership ensures only verified, official data is commercialized, a key step in “protecting fans, preserving integrity, and defending vital revenue for clubs.”

A key component of the new partnership is the integration of Serie A content into Genius Sports’ BetVision product. BetVision is an interactive live betting platform that allows users to watch games, interact with statistical overlays, and place bets all within a single, seamless player.

The addition of a top European soccer league to BetVision, which was first launched in the US with the NFL, is a major enhancement to the product. It will provide a new and highly engaging in-play betting experience for soccer fans around the world.

A Dominant Rights Portfolio

For Genius Sports, the Serie A deal is a massive strategic victory that cements its position as the dominant data provider in global sports. With this agreement, Genius now holds the rights to three of the most valuable properties in the sports betting world: the NFL, the English Premier League, and now Serie A.

“With Serie A now secured, Genius Sports commands the most valuable rights portfolio in global sports betting,” said Mark Locke, CEO of Genius Sports. “We are not riding momentum; we’re driving it. Our technology, scale, and execution are unmatched.” The company has announced that it will be updating its financial guidance to reflect the positive impact of the new deal.

The partnership also includes a strong focus on integrity. Genius and Serie A will work together on robust anti-infringement measures to combat data theft and ensure sportsbooks have secure and trusted access to the official feed.

De Siervo called the partnership a “decisive step in our fight for legality and a call to lawmakers to support the rights of leagues and the safety of bettors.” This united front on integrity is a critical aspect of the deal, protecting the value of the league’s data assets while also safeguarding the betting markets from corruption.
