FanDuel TV’s rolling out a fresh take on its lineup, launching “The Comeback With Craig Carton,” a show that dives deep into the messy world of gambling addiction and the road back. Hosted by Craig Carton, FanDuel’s responsible gaming ambassador and a familiar face from FS1’s “Breakfast Ball,” this monthly series aims to shine a light on real stories, chip away at stigma, and point viewers toward help.

From Personal Fight to Public Mission

Craig Carton is no stranger to the stakes. “As someone who has personally navigated the challenges of gambling addiction, I understand the impact it can have on your life and the lives of those you care about,” he said. Having clawed his way out of his own struggles, Carton’s now channeling that experience into “The Comeback.”

The show’s mission is to share unfiltered tales of addiction’s highs and lows, spark hope, and show that recovery’s within reach. “The road to recovery isn’t easy, but I’ve committed myself to helping others who are facing similar struggles,” he added. “My mission for this show is to inspire hope, offer support, and remind everyone that the path to regaining control starts with understanding.”

The premiere, already live on YouTube and FanDuel TV Extra, sets the tone. Carton sits down with Randy Livingston, an 11-year NBA vet who hit rock bottom with gambling before turning it around.

Livingston opens up about his last bet, the spiral, and the lifeline he found in seeking help. His wife, Anita Ondine Smith, joins in, shedding light on the warning signs she spotted and the toll it took on their family, plus how they’ve come out stronger. It’s raw, real, and a far cry from typical sports TV gloss.

A Monthly Dose of Reality

New episodes drop every month on Mondays at 10:00 a.m. ET, airing on FanDuel TV Extra and streaming on FanDuel’s YouTube channel. Beyond personal stories, the show’s slated to tackle practical stuff: money management tips, support services, self-exclusion options, and responsible gaming tools.

Livingston and Smith recently signed on to FanDuel’s “Trusted Voices: Conversations About Betting” initiative, aimed at arming parents, coaches, and caregivers with ways to guide young people through gambling’s risks.

Cory Fox, FanDuel’s Senior VP of Public Policy and Sustainability, sees it as a game-changer. “Our hope for The Comeback With Craig Carton is to raise awareness of problem gambling and foster open dialogue to tackle the stigma that still exists today,” he said. “Whether those conversations are amongst friends, spouses, parents or coaches, we want to educate our audience on what the warning signs are and be comfortable asking for help.”
