The World Series of Poker (WSOP), the gold standard of global poker tournaments, just got a major upgrade with EDGE Markets’ EDGE Boost debit card as its go-to payment method.

A Smarter Way to Play Poker

The partnership ditches the old-school hassles of cash and checks, letting players fund entries up to $250,000 via PayPal checkout without the tedious credit card verifications of the past.

Seni Thomas, EDGE Markets’ CEO, summed it up: “Players can focus on their game, not their bankroll logistics. This is the future of gaming.”

Previously, WSOP players were capped at $10,000 per transaction and faced lengthy approval processes, often lugging around cash or multiple checks. EDGE Boost changes that, offering seamless, secure digital payments that eliminate the need to carry wads of cash at events like the Las Vegas tournaments, running through July 11.

“It’s a game-changer,” said Greg Chochon, WSOP’s COO. “EDGE Boost makes players feel safe and supported, setting a new standard for the gambling industry.”

Perks and Prestige

EDGE Boost is sponsoring an exclusive lounge at the WSOP in Las Vegas, open to cardholders through July 11. It’s a VIP vibe with refreshments, Wi-Fi, and autograph sessions featuring poker legends like Phil Hellmuth, a 17-time WSOP bracelet winner, and Jamie Gold, a WSOP Main Event champ.

Hellmuth called it “a tech revolution for gaming” with “ironclad security and flawless control.” Gold was even blunter: “If you’re still wiring money or dealing with cash, you’re way behind. EDGE Boost saves time and keeps me safe.”
