Dylan Slaney Leaves Light & Wonder

Dylan Slaney, CEO of the iGaming division at Light & Wonder has announced his departure in a LinkedIn post on November 18th. Slaney joined the iGaming division in October 2021 and has been with the company for over 7 years.

A Career of Innovation and Growth

Slaney started his gaming career in October 2017 as EVP Gaming at NYX Gaming Group. NYX was acquired by Scientific Games in December 2017. Scientific Games rebranded to Light & Wonder in March 2022. A big change for the company.

In January 2018 Slaney moved to Light & Wonder as SVP Gaming in the SG Digital division. A role that prepared him for the CEO of iGaming role in October 2021.

In his LinkedIn post Slaney thanks Light & Wonder for giving him the iGaming division to run. He says the company has supported him in growing and innovating in the business and he’s proud of what’s been achieved.

“It’s been an incredible journey leading this business over the past seven years, and I’m immensely proud of what we’ve accomplished together,” Slaney wrote.

Slaney also thanks his team for their hard work, passion and never settle attitude. He’s confident in the future of the division and the opportunities to come.

“To the team at Light & Wonder – iGaming, your dedication, passion and relentless ‘never settle’ drive inspired me every day. I am confident that the best is yet to come for you and the business you have created. Thank you for the belief. Thank you for the memories… Proud and humbled to have been given this amazing opportunity. and looking forward to writing the next chapter.”

A iGaming Career

During his time as CEO Slaney was instrumental in the growth and transformation of the iGaming division at Light & Wonder. The company expanded its portfolio and footprint and became a major player in the iGaming space.

Slaney didn’t say what he’s doing next but his post suggests he’s looking forward to the future. His departure leaves Light & Wonder to build on the foundation he’s laid and keep the iGaming momentum going.
