DraftKings Becomes Official Partner of the WNBA

19.07.2024

Under the agreement between DraftKings and the WNBA, the operator will become the league’s official sports betting partner and daily fantasy sports partner.

DraftKings Joins FanDuel as WNBA’s Betting Partner

Due to the agreement, DraftKings becomes the second WNBA’s betting partner, after FanDuel. DraftKings’ main competitor in the U.S. sports betting market expanded its agreement with the league in 2022. The recent developments mean that the WNBA now has the same set of sports betting partners as the NBA.

DraftKings president Matt Kalish said: “The WNBA has seen tremendous growth, which continues to be a bright spot in the sports world. We are proud to support the league in its efforts to continue expanding the game.”

The company gains access to the intellectual property of the league and teams and has the right to use it for its betting and daily fantasy offers.

DraftKings Talent Ambassador Lisa Leslie added: “Having worked alongside both DraftKings and the WNBA, I am thrilled to see these innovative brands come together and further enhance excitement and visibility around women’s sports.”

New WNBA’s Content Platform

DraftKings will also become the main sponsor of the WNBA’s new content platform, which will launch in September to showcase the playoffs at the highest level. As a result, the operator can expect additional exposure among fans interested in the WNBA championship race.

“It is a priority for us to deliver the most engaging WNBA content to DraftKings’ platforms and through our collaboration with the WNBA this season, we will be able to enhance the experience for millions of our customers and WNBA fans,” concluded Matt Kalish.
