Connecticut Lottery Rolls Out New iLottery Platform

11.07.2024

The Connecticut Lottery has launched an innovative iLottery platform, offering players a convenient online and mobile avenue to engage in their favorite lottery and draw games.

Personalized Gaming Features

This new platform, accessible via ctilottery.org or through the CT Lottery mobile app on iOS (with an Android version slated for release next month), marks a significant digital advancement in the state’s lottery offerings.

One of the standout features of the new iLottery platform is its emphasis on personalization. Players can now save their favorite numbers and wagers, organize preferred games for quick access, and set personal limits on both wagering amounts and time spent on the app. These features aim to enhance user experience and promote responsible gaming.

Traditional and New Game Options

Alongside modern functionalities, the app retains essential services such as viewing winning numbers and scanning lottery tickets purchased at retail locations. The introduction of the iLottery platform expands the range of games accessible to players, which includes:

  • KENO
  • Powerball
  • Mega Millions
  • Lucky for Life
  • Lotto
  • Cash5
  • Play3 and Play4

These offerings encompass a mix of rapid-play games like KENO, which draws every four minutes, and major jackpot games such as Powerball and Mega Millions.

Convenience and Accessibility

With this launch, Connecticut becomes the 11th state in the U.S. to offer online lottery sales, providing significant convenience and accessibility to its residents.

According to Greg Smith, President and CEO of the CT Lottery, “iLottery gives Connecticut residents a convenient and secure way to play lottery games, whether choosing the every-four-minutes speed of KENO, the huge, life-changing jackpots available through Powerball and Mega Millions, or the twice-a-day Play3 & Play4.”

Smith also emphasized the continued importance of traditional retail outlets, noting that while the iLottery platform offers enhanced accessibility, physical scratch tickets will remain exclusive to the state’s 2,800 retail locations.
