Chandeni Sendall Joins Nevada Gaming Control Board

Nevada’s gaming industry welcomes a new regulator as Chandeni Sendall joins the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB). Governor Joe Lombardo appointed her to replace Brittnie Watkins, whose four-year term ended in January.

A Strong Legal and Gaming Background

Sendall has worked in law and gaming for years. Since 2015, she served as Deputy City Attorney in Reno, focusing on civil cases. Before that, she handled civil and commercial litigation managing complex disputes.

Her gaming experience includes a legal internship at Caesars Entertainment, where she studied corporate casino regulations. Earlier in her career, she worked as aninternal auditor at Caesars learning financial compliance and risk management.

She also clerked for Nevada Supreme Court Justice James W. Hardesty, analyzing cases with major policy implications.

Academic Excellence in Law and Economics

Sendall graduated from the William S. Boyd School of Law at UNLV, where she served as editor-in-chief of the UNLV Gaming Law Journal . She also earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in economics from the University of Nevada, Reno.

During her studies, she played for the Nevada Wolf Pack golf team and worked as a student ambassador. She also volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada and assisted in the university’s economics department.

Leadership Transition at NGCB

Sendall’s appointment comes as the NGCB faces leadership changes. Chairman Kirk Hendrick announced plans to step down after Nevada’s legislative session.

His resignation follows Sendall’s appointment by just a few days.
