Caesars Entertainment Completes Acquisition of WynnBET’s Michigan iGaming Business

19.06.2024

Caesars Entertainment has successfully closed the acquisition of WynnBET’s Michigan iGaming operations.

Future Plans and Brand Transition

The company has secured a long-term extension of its iGaming market access rights in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians. This move allows Caesars to take over WynnBET’s existing platform, ensuring a seamless customer experience during the transition.

Caesars plans to operate under the WynnBET brand temporarily and will introduce a new online casino brand on its Michigan iGaming platform in the second half of 2024, subject to regulatory approvals.

Leadership Statements

Eric Hession, President of Caesars Digital, expressed gratitude towards the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Michigan Gaming Control Board for their support throughout the acquisition process. “Caesars Entertainment would like to thank the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and the Michigan Gaming Control Board for their collaboration through this process,” said Hession.

This acquisition is a strategic step for Caesars Entertainment, enhancing its position in the Michigan iGaming market.
