BetMGM Launches Unified Digital Wallet for Sports Betting in Nevada
BetMGM is set to debut a feature that allows customers to use a single digital wallet for sports betting across multiple states. Starting Wednesday, BetMGM users will be able to place bets from their accounts in any state where MGM has a presence, a feature no other sports betting app in Nevada currently offers.
Expanding Digital Wagering Across 29 Markets
This innovation enables BetMGM customers who sign up in Nevada to wager in other states, like Arizona, once registered.
Similarly, players who sign up in Arizona can use their accounts in Nevada after completing in-person registration, as required by state rules.
Matt Prevost, BetMGM’s Chief Revenue Officer, explained that this system provides a connected experience for customers, especially those traveling to Las Vegas, which is home to nine BetMGM retail sportsbooks.
BetMGM’s new unified wallet is available in 29 North American markets, including Arizona, Michigan, New Jersey, and Ontario, Canada.
Potential Economic Impact and Customer Benefits
While it remains uncertain how much this technological change will impact BetMGM’s financial performance, Prevost is optimistic.
He believes the unified wallet could drive incremental revenue and tax contributions to Nevada. Additionally, BetMGM is enhancing the user experience with promotions such as bonus bets, odds boosts, and parlay-boost tokens, which are available exclusively to Nevada users.
