Betcris Makes Its U.S. Comeback with Arizona Sports Betting License

28.01.2025

Betcris has officially returned to the U.S. market. The brand left in 2007 following the introduction of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA). As pointed out by SBC Americas, this comeback is marked by a newly acquired sports betting license in Arizona. The move is part of a collaboration between Plannatech and the San Carlos Apache Tribal Gaming Enterprise to reintroduce Betcris.

Why Arizona?

Betcris’s reentry is a calculated decision. Arizona offers a thriving sports betting market with favorable conditions, including a relatively low 10% tax rate for operators.

Additionally, the state’s proximity to California—a market that has yet to legalize sports betting—makes it a strategic starting point.

The Arizona betting scene already hosts 14 licensed operators. Now, Betcris is set to join them with its iOS mobile app and plans to launch an online sportsbook in the coming weeks. This expansion allows Betcris to build on its global reputation while appealing to a U.S. audience.

Leveraging a Recognized Brand

Betcris, known for its bold identity, aims to capture a share of Arizona’s competitive market. By reviving this established name instead of promoting Plannatech’s Prime Sportsbook, the company is leveraging its proven appeal. Building Momentum in a Key Market

Arizona combines regulatory clarity with a growing base of sports bettors, making it an ideal launchpad.
