Bet365 has officially launched its online sportsbook in Kansas, becoming the seventh live operator in the state. The timing is perfect for local fans, with the NFL preseason underway and excitement building for the Kansas City Chiefs’ season.

A Timely Launch for Football Season

The global sports betting giant went live on July 30, bringing its full suite of wagering options to the Sunflower State. Players can now bet on the NFL and local college teams like the Kansas State Wildcats.

The platform offers a complete menu of betting markets, including player props, parlays, same-game parlays, and live in-game wagering.

Bet365 is also bringing its key technology features to the new market. This includes “QuickSlip,” which allows for faster bet placement by automatically populating a bet slip, and “BetSync,” which helps users track their wagers across different apps and partner platforms.

Navigating a Competitive and Uncertain Market

The launch makes Kansas bet365’s 14th US market, but the company faces a tough fight for market share. The state’s betting scene, which went live in September 2022, is heavily dominated by DraftKings and FanDuel. Bet365 will also be competing against other established brands like BetMGM, Caesars, ESPN BET, and Fanatics.

The move also comes with a cloud of long-term regulatory uncertainty. In April, Kansas lawmakers voted to eliminate the option for operators to renew their online sports betting licenses.

This ban is set to expire on June 30, 2026, meaning lawmakers will be forced to revisit the state’s entire sports betting framework that year. While the six major operators have licenses that run through August 2027, the future of the market beyond that date remains unclear.

Despite the challenges, the Kansas launch is part of bet365’s aggressive and ongoing US expansion. It marks the company’s third state launch this year, following successful rollouts in Tennessee and Illinois.

The company’s growing influence is also evident on the national stage. Bet365 recently joined the powerful Sports Betting Alliance (SBA), a key lobbying group that includes FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Fanatics.
