13.01.2025

FanDuel, its parent company Flutter Entertainment, and subsidiary Flutter International have pledged $250,000 to support wildfire relief efforts in the greater Los Angeles area. The donation will benefit Americares and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, focusing on providing immediate aid to impacted communities and supporting first responders.

A Longstanding Commitment to Los Angeles

FanDuel and Flutter have deep ties to Los Angeles, with roots in the community that stretch back nearly 25 years. The company’s FanDuel TV (formerly TVG) platform, a leader in horse racing wagering and broadcasting, is based in Culver City.

Additionally, FanDuel’s corporate and product teams, supporting its daily fantasy sports, online sportsbook, and iGaming platforms, have operated in Los Angeles since 2014.

With close to 400 employees in the city, many of whom have been personally affected by the wildfires, FanDuel’s donation points out its commitment to the community.

Supporting Wildfire Relief

Amy Howe, CEO of FanDuel, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting its community during this difficult time:

“FanDuel and Flutter have been proud members of the Los Angeles business community for over two decades. We are heartbroken by the devastating loss these wildfires have created in a community we call home. We are committed to ensuring our employees are safe and making sure the community has the resources it needs to support the heroic efforts of our first responders.”

The $250,000 donation will be split between two organizations:

  • Americares: A health-focused relief organization addressing urgent health needs in wildfire-affected areas.
  • Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation: Funding will support essential equipment and programs that aid firefighters in their lifesaving efforts and protect communities during disasters.
