BetMGM Merges Poker Player Pools in New Jersey and Michigan
BetMGM has combined its New Jersey and Michigan poker rooms, creating one of the largest shared player pools in the country. This means bigger prizes, more games and better overall experience for players.
Expanding BetMGM’s Poker Universe with Shared Liquidity
BetMGM has launched a shared player pool between its New Jersey and Michigan rooms, a big move for the online poker world. This is part of BetMGM’s overall plan to grow its poker product by increasing competition and prize pools, making it more fun for poker players.
“This is a landmark day for our poker product,” remarked Angus Nisbet, VP of Gaming at BetMGM. “The shared liquidity addresses player demand for larger game options and prize pools, fulfilling our commitment to deliver an unmatched poker experience.”
To commemorate the launch of the shared player pool, BetMGM Poker will be running its biggest tournament series to date, the BetMGM Poker Online Championships. November 17 to December 1, the championship series will have $2 million in guarantees, nightly trophies and an overall leaderboard to reward players for their consistency.
New Poker Platform and App Design
BetMGM recently rolled out a new poker app across all markets to improve the overall user experience with a faster login and a more user-friendly lobby. This is to make the platform more accessible and fun for both pros and newbies as BetMGM takes the lead in online poker.
Darren Elias, BetMGM Poker Ambassador and four-time World Poker Tour champion, expressed his enthusiasm for the merger’s potential: “Combining player pools will elevate BetMGM Poker, allowing for larger prize guarantees and a greater selection of games while helping more online qualifiers reach live events at MGM Resorts venues nationwide,” said Elias.
