Golden Matrix Group Prepares for U.S. iGaming Market Entry with New Jersey License Application

02.09.2024

Golden Matrix Group has announced progress in its efforts to expand its market presence. The company is particularly focused on its anticipated entry into the U.S. iGaming market, starting with New Jersey.

Expanding U.S. Presence

Through its subsidiary, Expanse Studios, GMGI is currently applying for the New Jersey Casino Service Industry Enterprise license, which will allow it to provide its proprietary iGaming content to licensed online casinos and sportsbooks in the state.

GMGI has already initiated discussions with several licensed gaming operators in New Jersey. Once the licensing process is complete and necessary approvals are obtained, the company plans to establish itself as a B2B provider, delivering Expanse Studios’ gaming content to regulated operators.

This move is part of GMGI’s broader strategy to secure additional licenses in other U.S. states where iGaming is regulated, further expanding its presence in the American market.

Growth in Other Markets

Beyond the U.S., GMGI’s Expanse Studios has also made strides in Europe, securing an iGaming license in Bulgaria and actively pursuing licenses in Croatia and Romania.

In addition to its U.S. and European plans, GMGI is leveraging its recently acquired subsidiary, Meridianbet, to enter other key global markets, including Brazil, Peru, and South Africa.

Notably, Meridianbet is in the process of obtaining a federal license in Brazil, a market projected to reach approximately $20 billion by 2025 with a potential player base of 106 million. The licensing process in Brazil is expected to be completed by the end of December 2024, positioning Meridianbet to capitalize on this rapidly expanding market.
