Illinois Gaming Board Advances Gambling Oversight with Latest Licensing Actions
Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) has made some regulatory decisions, reinforcing the state’s commitment to a well-regulated gambling landscape.
The board approved a series of licenses across various sectors of the gambling industry, indicating ongoing growth and strict oversight.
Broad Range of Licensing Approvals
During the meeting, the IGB approved licenses for three terminal operators and one supplier, alongside authorizing operations for 123 video gaming locations.
Additionally, licenses were issued to four technicians and 37 terminal handlers, with specific rejections and rescissions highlighting the regulator’s stringent criteria.
Sports Betting and Casino Operations
In sports betting, developments included the approval of a master sports wagering license for Northside Crown Gaming, alongside management services provider licenses for both Crown IL Gaming and Northside Crown Gaming.
The Board also approved occupational licenses for 111 Level 2 sports betting locations.
For casino operations, the IGB granted two new casino supplier licenses and three Level 1 licenses, with approvals for nine casino key person applicants. This was complemented by the issuance of numerous casino occupational licenses.
