Colorado Division of Gaming Initiates Campaign Against Illegal Gambling
The Colorado Division of Gaming, a branch of the Colorado Department of Revenue (CDOR), is spearheading a new initiative aimed at curbing illegal gambling activities within the state.
Dubbed “Play Legit. Gamble Only Where Legal,” the campaign is focused on educating both residents and visitors about the dangers associated with unlicensed betting.
Director’s Perspective
Chris Schroder, the Director of the Colorado Division of Gaming, emphasized the availability of numerous certified and legal gambling platforms. “With many certified and legal gambling sites available, it’s never worth it to put yourself in danger. Together, let’s play by the rules and ensure that Colorado remains a safe and responsible gaming destination. By recognizing and preventing illegal gambling, we all win,” said Schroder
The campaign is particularly targeted at elucidating the significant risks involved in illegal gambling, such as fraud and burglary, which can arise from unregulated activities.
Proactive Steps
“Play Legit. Gamble Only Where Legal” aims to protect individuals by informing them about the importance of using licensed operators that ensure the security of personal and financial information.
By launching this educational campaign, Colorado is taking proactive steps to safeguard its citizens and maintain the integrity of its gaming industry.
