Delaware North CEO Lou Jacobs Named Next AGA Chairman
The American Gaming Association (AGA) Board of Directors has elected Louis “Lou” M. Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer of Delaware North, as its next chairman. Jacobs will begin his two-year term in January 2026, succeeding Michael Rumbolz, the former Chairman and CEO of Everi.

Jacobs Brings Extensive Industry and Hospitality Experience
As CEO of the family-owned global hospitality and entertainment company Delaware North, Jacobs manages the firm’s operating subsidiaries. His focus includes strategic growth, financial management, and corporate governance. The company’s gaming division operates a large portfolio of regional casinos and destinations. It also has online sports betting and iGaming operations across several states.
Jacobs expressed his commitment to the role in a statement: “I look forward to building on AGA’s success and working with CEO Bill Miller and the Board to ensure legal gaming remains a strong economic engine for communities across the country.”
AGA President and CEO Bill Miller praised Jacobs’ selection. Miller noted that Jacobs’ experience across the gaming and hospitality sectors makes him an exceptional choice. “His perspective as a long-time industry leader and active board member of the AGA will be instrumental as we continue to champion policies that strengthen and sustain our industry,” Miller added.
Building on Prior Success
Jacobs will take the reins from Michael Rumbolz, who has served as AGA chairman since January 2024. During Rumbolz’s tenure, the AGA achieved important policy victories at the state and federal levels. The association also improved responsible gaming efforts and led the industry’s fight against illegal gambling operations.
Miller acknowledged Rumbolz’s contribution, stating that his leadership was invaluable. “His insight and steady hand have helped guide legal gaming through a period of continued growth and transformation,” Miller said.
Outside of his corporate duties, Jacobs is dedicated to community service. He is the current chair of the capital campaign for FeedMore WNY, a nonprofit that works to combat hunger in Western New York. Jacobs holds a Bachelor of Arts and an MBA from Harvard University. He and his wife, Joan, live in East Aurora, N.Y. They have two children, Louis Jr. and Charlotte.
