Google Embeds Prediction Market Data into Search and Finance
Google has taken a major step to integrate real-time data from prediction markets Polymarket and Kalshi directly into its primary consumer platforms, Google Search and Google Finance. This marks the first time that users can access live market odds on the outcomes of future events without leaving the Google ecosystem.

The core goal of the integration is to leverage the “wisdom of the crowds” by offering forecasts based on collective market expectations. Prediction markets determine the probability of an event by letting users buy and sell contracts on future outcomes; the market price of the contract then reflects the consensus probability.
Real-Time Odds for Key Forecasts
The prediction market data, showing probabilities and changing odds, is displayed in response to natural language search queries. Users can now ask Google for forecasts on a variety of significant events.
The types of queries that now return this live data include:
- Political Outcomes: Questions such as, “Who will win the 2024 U.S. presidential election?”
- Economic Conditions: Inquiries like, “Will the U.S. enter a recession in 2025?”
- Macroeconomic Trends: Forecasts on future GDP growth.
Users will see the real-time market odds and visual charts illustrating how the probability of the event has fluctuated over time.
Partner Vetting and Regulatory Acceptance
Google strategically chose two distinct partners to maximize reach and regulatory legitimacy. The partnership grants both Kalshi and Polymarket a “valuable imprimatur from Google,” helping to validate a product sometimes viewed as simple gambling.
- Kalshi is a federally regulated exchange, receiving oversight from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). Kalshi offers event-based futures contracts on economic and policy matters.
- Polymarket is a blockchain-based platform focusing on political and cultural markets. Though it operates outside the U.S. due to regulatory restrictions, the Google partnership gives this innovative platform increased visibility.
Context of Google Finance Modernization
The integration of prediction market data is part of a wider effort to modernize the Google Finance platform. The updated platform is designed to be more interactive and is heavily supported by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
This overhaul includes new features like Deep Search, which uses Gemini AI models to generate complex, cited financial answers. Additionally, new tools for tracking corporate earnings, such as live audio and real-time transcriptsof earnings calls, have been introduced. The updated Google Finance is also set for global expansion, starting with the launch in India.
